Bear Grylls has uncovered he has a feeling that he goes from saint to zero when he returns home from his escapades.
The TV wildman – who is situated to take a gathering of VIPs on a survival trek in new show Mission Survive – told the Radio Times his children are not awed by what he accomplishes as a profession.
Bear, who has three children Jesse, Marmaduke and Huckleberry, said: “When you return, you go from saint to zero rapidly. You’ve been on this incredible escapade, however all they’re stressed over is the school run and, ‘When’s supper ready?’.”
At the same time the swashbuckler, who wedded wife Shara in 2000, said home is still the spot he most needs to be.
He said: “I cherish home. I’ve learnt through the years the estimation of home. When I’m working, my attention is on returning to the family in one piece and conveying an extraordinary TV show – in a specific order.
“Evaluations are wicked good on my rundown of needs.
“I generally take school occasions off work. I don’t do cushion. I don’t go to VIP parties.”
